Allen Swift was born on January 16, 1924 in New York City, New York as Ira Stadlen, He got his start 1946 but started to do voices for the Howdy Doody show in 1947, In which he also became a writer on said show. It wasn't until somewhere around 1956 or somewhere like that in which he called himself under the name of Allen Swift. He named it after two people. Radio comedian Fred Allen, and the author of Gulliver's Travels. Jonathan Swift, It wasn't until 1957 in which he came over to do voicework for the Terrytoons studio. As he is most importantly known for replacing Doug Moye as the voice of Clint Clobber, Which he also took the role of when his friend Gene Deitch moved to Czechoslovakia in 1959. He also done the voice of Gaston Le Crayon, and other characters. Swift also done voiceover work for Rankin Bass and Total TeleVision productions. With his Total TeleVision roles being on the show "Underdog" along with providing the voice of the Frito Bandito commercials before Mel Blanc took over and other roles for Mad Magazine records and other commercials. Swift also resided in Manhattan and was married to Lenore Loverman, which caused him to have three kids. One of em was Lewis J. Stadlen, and Allen apparently was also a gifted painter. He later died on April 18th, 2010 after a series of injuries that started when he fell on his hip.
