Biography[]
Frank Welker was born on March 12, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. As of July 2021, he holds over 860 credits, making him a very profilic actor. [1] He is perhaps best known for providing the voice of Fred Jones and Scooby-Doo in the Scooby-Doo franchise. While he did not voice Scooby himself regularly until 2002--he has been voicing Fred consistently since the beginning--he briefly had the role of the Great Dane in 1979. In that same year, he provided the voices of Heckle and Jeckle in the 1979 Filmation series.
