He was Born on April 14 1894 in New York City, New York as Philip August Scheib. Early in his youth, He went to Germany to study music and recieved a diploma from the Stern Conservatory of Music in Berlin, Germany around 1911/1912 when he was 17, He was also a Musical director for a lot of opera music and had his own band, Until theathers and orchestras disbanded. But around 1930. He was hired by Paul Terry to compose and conduct music for his latest studio, Terrytoons. Over there, He had a reputation of making Original scores for the studio, Mainly because Terry was too cheap to pay royalty fees for public domain scores, But nonetheless. He sneaked in some Public domain tracks like "Aint we got fun?" or "Good Ship, Lollipop" onto his scores, He was also known for having a lot of brass in his music and a lot of Saxaphones to boot, But around 1957 or so, Gene Deitch changed it and had Scheib experiment with more diversity choices in music, with an exotic theme for the Sidney The Elephant cartoons, and a french accordian for the Gaston Le Crayon ones. But he still kept on composing until either 1963 or 1964. In which he retired and Jim Timmens and Elliot Larwence took over the scene. He died in April of 1969 at the age of 75 in Westchester, New York. He apparently also done the voice of one of the Terry Bears in the Terry Bears series.
Sometime in his life, He married Adeliade L. and in 1931, Barbara Ann was born.
